Here at Sleepless Momma we love our planet so naturally we want to make sure we do our bit to look after it. 

As a brand we have made the conscious decision to make sure we offer not only quality but sustainable fashion for all our lovely mommas'. 

We are proud that all of our products are Earth Positive meaning that they have manufactured solely using renewable green energy from wind and solar power as well as being 100% organic cotton which means they are free from allergenic, carcinogenic and toxic chemical residues, which is good for both you and the cotton farmers. 

The Fair Trade foundations an independent non-profit organisation and their aim is to give a sustainable livelihood to the workers that are involved in all aspects of the production of goods and in our case, clothing. When you see the Fair Trade Foundation Mark you know from the production of the raw material to the finished product that the product has been certified and the workers have been fair treated. 

This means that they are approved by the Fairwear Foundation. The Fairwear Foundation is working to ensure that all the clothing we sell is ethically made and provides garment workers in factories with better working conditions like:

• The workers employment is freely chosen
• There is no discrimation in Employment
• No exploitation of Child Labour
• The right of all workers to form or join trade unions and bargain collectively shall be recognised. 
• Payment of a living wage 
• Reasonable hours of work
• Safe and Healthy working conditions
• Legally binding employment relationship

WRAP is an independant, non-profit  team of global social compliance experts . Their main aim is to visit facilities that are involved in the production of clothing and certify the facility complies with local laws, workplace regulations, universal workers rights and environmental regulations.

Ok, so this is where the science comes in.. All our clothing and printing materials are Oeko Tex approved which means we and you can have confidence in our textiles. The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX is a worldwide, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi finished and finished textile products at all processing levels. The test checks for harmful substances in textiles. A valid OEKO-TEX certificate produced by a supplier provides us independent proof of the product being harmless to health and skin friendly clothing.
